Grand Hotel Tynemouth Několika poschoďová budova hotelu je v blízkosti moře u hlavní silnice města. Má báječný výhled na Long Beach a moře. Hotel je snadno přístupný a v okolí je možné zaparkovat auto. Uvnitř najdete větší vysoké, zdobené stropy, prostorné chodby, hezké sály, jídelny a pokoje. Setkáte se s příjemným personálem. Velmi pěkné místo. ~ Mgr. M
Just got home from a 4 night stay, family of 4. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can literally cross over the road to a clean, beautiful beach. Very easy to park, we were given a parking pass at check in and never struggled to park around the hotel. The room was cleaned daily, fresh towels, biscuits tea coffee etc and complimentary water provided daily too. All the staff are friendly and happy to help - also very easy and quick to contact over the phone or via email. 5-10 minute walk to the local bar street, plenty of small quirky cafes, bars and restaurants, with a handy Co Op & a few small boutiques - again all very clean. I stayed here last year, this year, and will 100% be going back! Thank you so much for such a lovely stay again this year! X ~ Amy B
'Spent a lovely afternoon with the girlies celebrating my daughters forthcoming marriage. The afternoon tea was to die for! Fresh soft sandwiches with a variety of delicious fillings which we were able to choose. Beautiful clotted cream/jam fruit scones, cheese scones, dainty cakes and oodles of tea/prosecco. The service was top notch and the waiting staff went above and beyond to ensure my young granddaughter had an afternoon tea that she not only loved and ate.... But still keeps on talking about. (Guess I'll just have to take her back ) Nothing was too much trouble for them and I highly recommend you give this place a visit and judge for yourself. Might be best to book to avoid disappointment though. ~ Edith T
Friendly welcoming staff, beautiful room and bathroom, with outstanding views of Longsands beach (well worth the £10 surcharge) A slight hitch of being sent to the dining room too early for afternoon tea was soon sorted efficiently and without fuss by the lovely Beverley in the drawing room (please make her staff member of the month!!) Our afternoon tea was fabulous- fantastic patisserie chef!! And breakfast this morning was lovely, great service in the dining room! After waiting over a year for our Winter break it exceeded all expectations- only drawback for us is the lack of parking availability. Wishing all the staff at the Grand every success for the future!! ~ Carole B
Booked a meal for 10 in October for my husbands 60th birthday, food and service was so good my husband decided to return for my 60th birthday on Sat 1 Feb. We had such a superb time, top marks to the chef who made something not even on the menu to ensure everyone in our company had food to suit their needs including a vegetarian and 1 gluten free. The waiting staff were so pleasant ,patient and knowledgeable they are worth their weight in gold. Give yourselves a big pat on the back, ( Take care Grand Hotel or they'll be poached) Finally but never last the little blonde girl on the bar who worked her socks off to keep us all hydrated and comfortable. The cost was such a welcome surprise and so reasonable for the 5 star service I will gladly recommend you to anyone who will listen. Thankyou all for making our birthdays so special. We attended a wedding here and stayed 1 night in a sea view room. Absolutely beautiful hotel (the staircase is just 'wow'). Our 3rd floor room had recently been renovated to a high standard. The view of Longsands beach from it was spectacular and it was very clean with a comfy bed. The wedding was just beautiful with attentive staff and wonderful food. Lovely roof terrace. I can't fault this hotel and will 100% stay here again for the odd treat. Can't understand why it's not rated 4 star. It's excellent value too and feels like it should be more expensive than it is. Breakfast was also high standard. Well done The Grand Tynemouth! ~ Just h
Absolutely delightful, beautiful hotel, visited for a wedding being held there, it was brilliant, couldn’t fault it. Room was comfortable, clean and homely, we had a family suite in the main hotel which had two rooms and a balcony, it was perfect. Warm and welcoming place, tastefully decorated and in keeping with the age of the building, modern without being devoid of its period features. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Loved our stay here really felt at ease and would without a doubt recommend it for a function and/or a stay. Food was very nice and a great selection of drinks. ~ Nic L
A fabulous afternoon dining experience. That's a bold statement, but it couldn't be more true. Firstly, hats off to the friendly attentive staff, who were excellent and the chef. Secondly, my fiancée ordered an Afternoon Tea which was delightful. This was elegantly presented and consisted of lovely tasting sandwiches, scones and desserts, along with their respective condiments. This was served with a hot pot of tea. My scone and clotted cream was also delicious, as was my mocha coffee Hats off to the team at The Grand for such a wonderful afternoon, thank you. ~ Andy W
Very traditional Hotel on the seafront at Tynemouth with panoramic views across the Blue Flag beach and North Sea.Lovely decor in the Hotel restaurant,Lounge, and entrance. Not for the first time, our visit was for Afternoon (Prosecco) Tea, which comprised a great selection of freshly cut sandwiches, cakes, fruit scones with preserve and cream and also cheese scones.Served of course with a pot of Tea.Speciality Teas available on the menu.Excellent service in the restaurant and at Reception.Happy to recommend. ~ ray f
Visited for dinner in the Brasserie. Lovely surroundings and an excellent meal. Starters of salmon risotto and tempura cauliflower were very good, as were the mains - pork belly and sweet potato curry. The affogato was lovely but there was so much Amoretto and espresso that a bit more ice cream would have been good. The staff were lovely but maybe need a bit more training. One didn't know what a Kir was and we had to ask three times for olives with the aperitif and they finally arrived with the starters. Overall a very nice experience. ~ sheila g
Very nice place! Rooms are incredibly well taken care of and are beautiful. Great furniture, good TV, hair dryer, kettle etc (we had a box with various teas, coffees and hot chocolate!). The place feels like a palace as you enter and it all is very comfortable. If you have a sea-onlooking room, it is absolutely wonderful to hear the waves and look at the view. A food service is included and while I've only tried the egg breakfasts, they were so good! Fresh salmon, really nice gooey egg and great presentation served with and very friendly staff who are pretty quick. Overall very nice, even the price was actually quite understandable for its worth, couldn't have asked for much more. Drawbacks? I found the WiFi was sadly very bad due to its poor range in the hotel. I used mobile data and connected it to the TV lol. Note they only have a mixed hair/body wash so if you have specific hair/skin needs, bring stuff with you. This wasn't a problem for me however! Attached photos are from room 333. ~ Tyler M
Fantastic hotel. Very high quality, looks recently renovated. Staff were very helpful, rooms were very well furnished and comfortable, and some with excellent views of the sea. Would have been better if they replaced miniature toiletries with sustainable alternatives. The drawing room lounge was relaxing and calming for a few drinks. Breakfast was tasty, although with covid alterations, the staff were off their feet serving guests. This led to some receiving cooked breakfast after waiting a while, others very quickly. Still enjoyed it though. ~ D S
We stayed the night here having completed the Hadrian's Wall walk. As it was our final night of the walk, we treated ourselves and stayed in a deluxe room and didn't regret it for a minute. Everything about this hotel is fantastic - the bed, the stunning view of the beach, the huge bath, the amazing sweeping staircase, the breakfast, and not least the service - down to earth yet completely attentive. Don't be deceived by its three star rating. This hotel is an absolute gem. We hope to return. Thank you for a great stay! ~ Polly D
I always knew when I get married, it would be at the Grand Hotel. The building has so much character and the setting is just magical! I have to say the Grand Hotel did an amazing job of our August wedding and left us walking away 100% happy with our choice of location. I would like to say a big shout out to all the staff, from the house keepers to the waiting staff, especially to Demi and Helen, who made our day so perfect! Mark and Michael Smith ~ Mark S
We had a good stay, then room I requested look amazing infront the sea view… Easy to communicate them and the venue I rented for our double celebration 18th & 40th look perfectly elegant., not lots of colour just all in cream white. We invite 5 families far away from Newcastle who stayed for overnight. We expect a small complimentary but ____.😊 Anyway food delicious thanks to my co-Filipino cooked for us and we allowed to bring some desserts. Thanks Helen & Louise ~ Cloud N
My friend and I visited the Grand Hotel this afternoon. It's years since I've been. The Hotel looks like it's had a total refurb, very fresh, clean with beautiful decor. We both had the scones with strawberry jam and of course it has to be clotted cream. Absolutely delicious. I had a biscoff latte, which was very tasty. The staff were great, one in particular, a lovely young man called Cameron. He was friendly and efficient, a credit to himself and the Hotel.. ~ Susan O
Lovely hotel and staff. Our sea view room had fantastic views across the beach and out to sea. Breakfast was delicious (perfect poached eggs). The beach is fantastic. I had a brief dip in the sea (it was quite chilly in April). I had scampi and chips in the hotel's bar - really delicious and highly recommended. We booked the hotel for 2 nights (at the start and end of walking the Hadrian's Wall Path). This was the perfect start and end of our HWP adventure! ~ Nick P
~ Klaus S
Being in this hotel is an outstanding experience! Built in 1872 - the charme of that time is everywhere. You will expect Miss Marple to stay there. So beautiful! The hotel rooms have all been renovated, are really good but kept the unique style of "The Grand". Enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view to the sea - what a start of the day! I am here again for my 18th stay and it still thrills me 😊 ~ Ole N
We had an overnight stay booked with breakfast & afternoon tea on 22/2/22. Service was excellent from start to finish, room was outstanding with fantastic views of Tynemouth Longsands. A massive thank you to Rachael on reception who went above & beyond when we had to change our original date & also the rest of the staff at The Grand keep up the good work. We will definatley be back again in the near future. ~ Kelly R
Encontra-se em local privilegiado da praia e a arquitetura do Hotel é muito bonita! _____________________ It is in a privileged place of the beach and the architecture of the Hotel is very beautiful! ~ Camila A
It was a proper little geordie pub. I only went for a social occasion. It was my friends birthday and we all went for a jolly old time. We just didn't expect it to be so jolly. It was the best pint if strongbow I've ever had. Maybe they brew it there. One thing is certain though it was absolutely delicious. I would love to one day gj back to that bar and try that cider one last time. ~ Joseph L
Fantastic place which delicately combines the history of a hotel that’s hundreds of years old with modern furnishing and design. The views from our room of the beach were amazing, breakfast was fantastic and all the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We attended a wedding and every stage, from ceremony, to meal, to reception downstairs was wonderful. ~ Ben T
Visited the Grand hotel tynemouth on Thursday 4.10.18. Had a cracking night the atmosphere, soroundings and food were fantastic even though my son got a pint of beer spilt down his back by a new starter it didn't ruin the evening. Staff were ready to help you for your every need. If you want to spoil yourself or someone else then this is the place to go. ~ Terry R
